The First State ENT practice was started in October of 2015 by Dr. Jagdeep S Hundal. He has moved to the First State from Cooper Medical School of Rowan University / Cooper University Hospital, where he was working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery for two years as Director of General Otolaryngology. His past experience includes five years of practice at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD focusing on adult and pediatric otolaryngology, chronic ear disease, dizziness, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, and sleep apnea. Dr. Hundal was also instrumental in starting and running the Head and Neck Tumor board at the facility. Dr. Hundal completed his general surgery internship followed by an Otolaryngology residency at Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, CT. He did extensive research in Laryngeal Physiology at Yale, and was recipient of the prestigious OHSE research grant for three consecutive years. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology , Head & Neck Surgery and has numerous publications in peer – reviewed journals and book chapters. Dr. Hundal was also recognized and received the 2014 best Doctors award in South Jersey.

He currently has privileges at Christiana Hospital, St Francis Hospital in Delaware and Union Hospital in Elkton, MD. New Expertise -AudiologyDr. Amanda Maioriello has recently joined our clinical staff at First State ENT as an audiologist. She will be providing audiology and hearing aid services to patients of all ages suffering from hearing loss or other hearing disorders. Dr. Maioriello is a licensed audiologist in the states of Delaware and Pennsylvania. She graduated from the University of Maine with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2012. Dr. Maioriello earned her Doctorate of Audiology from Salus University, located in Elkin Park Pennsylvania in 2016. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Dr. Maioriello is highly skilled in providing diagnostic and rehabilitative services for individuals with all degrees of hearing loss. She is dedicated to helping patients with their hearing healthcare needs so that they can enjoy a higher quality of life.
